"To
see a youngster change and thrive before your eyes - it's the best thing
in the world."
When hourly tuition is not practical, we can supply a tutor for a short residential stay. The tutor lives with the family and teaches around four hours a day. This is particularly useful during school holidays for children who are at boarding school.
The learning process does not end when the tuition finishes, but continues for the rest of the day. A good relationship is built up between the tutor and the child as they engage in activities which captivate the child’s interest.
Continued and intensive ‘exposure’ to a lively ‘cool’ tutor will not only improve their academic motivation but can also improve vocabulary and help them grasp more mature life concepts – benefits that will be seen clearly in an interview situation. We find that the first time a child has a tutor there is sometimes resentment along the lines of ‘it will ruin my holidays’.
However, after the first placement the child often asks the parents to arrange the same tutor for the next vacation. With the right tutor, learning is fun.
