1 For all new clients, an introduction fee is applicable.  This is payable once only.

2 The normal finder’s fee is £90.  If however, the client requires a tutor with less than five working days notice, a finder’s fee of £180.00 is applicable. Notice of less than forty-eight hours incurs a £300.00 finders fee.

3 If, for any reason, the lesson needs to be cancelled and is not done so within 24hrs, the lesson fee is still due. If the tutor has to cancel a tutorial within 24hrs, he or she gives a free tutorial. For travel outside central London there is an additional £10 per hour for the tutor’s travelling time plus their travel expenses.

4 This includes tuition of 4hrs within the hours of 9.00am – 5.00pm. However the tutor will spend as much time as required with the child between these hours. The client is responsible for costs associated with travel to and from the assignment, accommodation and food.  Please note that should a child require accompanying by the tutor to a residential job, an additional £10.00 per hour will be charged per child.

5 The lessons in the tailored program are supplementary to scheduled subject based tutorials.

6These are our most experienced tutors who have completed a minimum of 500 tutoring hours.  Each Senior Tutor must have taught in our school and then, subject to further assessment are elected as Senior Tutors by Tom Leopold and Rupert Syme. Tuition by a residential senior tutor is 4 hours within the hours of 9.00am – 5.00pm and the client is responsible for costs associated with travel to and from the assignment, accommodation and food.

7 The Academic Assessment takes approximately three hours and is inclusive of a half hour follow-up discussion with Tom Leopold and Rupert Syme either in person or over the telephone. A full written report is available on request and incurs an extra cost of £500.00 + VAT.  Cancellation of an assessment over 24 hours notice incurs a £100.00 charge.  If notice is given under 24 hours prior to the assessment, the full fee will be applicable.

8This applies to any consultation carried out by Tom Leopold and Rupert Syme at The Tutors Group offices or on the telephone. Any further consultation or advice from Tom Leopold or Rupert Syme extra to the initial assessment will be charged at the hourly rate after the initial five (5) minutes.  This includes any verbal or written communication with schools and other professional bodies.

9 Places for our School are heavily oversubscribed. Admission is subject to assessments and interview.

All accounts are due for payment within 14 days of the invoice date. Overdue accounts with incur interest at 4.5% above the Bank of England’s lending rate.

Terms & Conditions

Once this literature, and the enclosed terms & conditions, have been approved and The Tutors Group have been asked to proceed with finding a suitable tutor for the first time, the introduction fee is chargeable. The introduction fee includes the finders fee for the first tutor.

The first meeting with any new tutor is free and without obligation. This allows your child to get to know our tutor and to decide whether he or she can learn from them. If your child does not like our tutor, we will provide an alternative. Should this initial meeting develop into tuition it will be charged at the standard hourly rate.

In the event of another tutor being requested for another child, to cover further subjects or in the next academic year (1 September to 31 August) a finders fee of is applicable.

If a tutor is deemed unsuitable or cannot continue tuition within the same academic year, a new tutor will be arranged at The Tutors Group’s expense.

The Tutors Group will invoice you for all monies owed on the first day of each month and these invoices are due for payment by return. If we have not received payment within ten working days, we reserve the right to withdraw our tutor.
